| Can I change my meal plan? | Yes, with restrictions. You may change your meal plan anytime without penalty up to the day before the first meal is served. After the first meal is served, there is a fee applied. You may then change your meal plan during the second two weeks of classes after paying the change fee. No meal plan changes can be made after the meal plan change period ends. |

| Do I have to request a meal plan for each semester? | If you are Freshman Experience participant, your current meal plan will automatically continue from fall to spring semesters. It does not continue to summer semester. If you are a voluntary participant, your meal plan will not automatically continue. |
| Do Meal Plan counts rollover to the following academic session? | Meal plan counts DO NOT ROLLOVER to the following semester. Additionally, unused weekly meal plan counts for the Limited Access 14 and Limited Access 10 plans do not rollover to the following week. |
| Do promotional bonuses on my BuzzCard expire? | Unless otherwise specified, all bonuses given as promotional items will expire at the end of the semester they were issued. This includes, but is not limited to, Dining Bonuses and Ramblin Plan Bonuses. |
| How can I sign-up for the Faculty Staff 200 Meal Plan? | Faculty and Staff can sign-up for the Faculty Staff 200 meal plan two ways. Online at TechStuff and at the BuzzCard Center. Payroll deduction is not yet in place for this transaction. Students are not permitted to purchase the Faculty Staff 200 Meal Plan. |
| How do I sign-up for my meal plan? |
You can sign up for a meal plan via BuzzPort at https://buzzport.gatech.edu. Upon login, proceed to "OSCAR Secure Login", then to "Campus Services" and then click on "Meal Plan Sign-Up" to make your selection. Prior to the first meal served, students can change their meal plans online at the same location. To change your meal plan, change the drop down menu from "Selected" to "Not Selected." Then select a new meal plan. All meal plan charges will post to your Student Bursar's account. For meal plan change policies please see the meal plan change page. BuzzCard account funds will be automatically credited to your BuzzCard account no later than the day following your meal plan sign-up.

| How do I use the "Dining Cash" that comes with my Ramblin Plan? |
Dining Cash is money added to your Ramblin Plan on your BuzzCard to use exclusively at Georgia Tech Dining locations. You will have to make sure to tell the cashier if you would like to use these funds for your purchases. |
| If I am a Freshman Experience participant and I decide to pledge a Greek fraternity or sorority, can I cancel my meal plan? | No, you cannot cancel your meal plan. The meal plan is a core requirement of the Freshman Experience program. However, during the semester you pledge, you will be provided the opportunity to change to the Greek Access 5.
The Greek Access 5 meal plan provides you access to 5 meal per week at all three of the Resident Dining Halls. To make a change, please pick up a Meal Plan Change Form from Greek Affairs, located in room 141 of the Student Services Building. Upon completing the change form, return to the Greek Affairs Office to have your pledge status certified. You will then need to forward the change form to the BuzzCard Center.
A fee will be charged for the processing of your meal plan change request. This fee will be collected at the time you submit your form to the BuzzCard Center. All completed and certified pledge status forms must be submitted to the BuzzCard Center by the meal plan change deadline. Remember, all original meal plans are prorated on a per week basis and the original value decreases each week.
If you ever de-pledge, you will be reassigned your original meal plan. |
| It is the first day of class and I can't change my meal plan online! | Once the first meal is served students must make meal plan change requests in person at the BuzzCard Center. Students have the first three weeks of class to either change or cancel their meal plan (Freshman Experience Students cannot cancel their meal plan). Students that change their meal plan after the first meal is served are charged a processing fee. The BuzzCard Center cannot post meal plan change fees to a student's account and the fee must be paid at the time of service. |
| What are meal periods and what does that mean? | Dining Services separates the day into meal periods so that the food offering can change depending on the time of day. Monday through Friday, there are 4 meal periods:
- Breakfast
- Lunch
- Dinner
- Late Night
Weekends are setup so that there are only 3 periods:
- Breakfast/Brunch
- Late Lunch
- Dinner
Each dining hall will have different hours, so please check the Locations Page for specific times and holidays/semester breaks will modify the schedule.
If you have a Limited Access meal plan, you are limited to ONE (1) meal per meal plan period. All Access meal plans may visit any dining hall any number of times without restrictions. |
| What are the included BuzzFunds that come with the Meal Plan? | The included BuzzFunds with your meal plan is money deposited to your BuzzCard account that you may use at any participating merchant/vendor on campus. The BuzzFunds are designed as a "fill-in" for those times when you will not be able to get to a dining hall. You can also use them to purchase books at Barnes & Noble @ Georgia Tech, in any of the vending machines that accept BuzzCard, and at any of the dining/retail establishments on campus. |
| What are the Retail Prices at the dining halls? |

| What is the difference between Ramblin Funds and BuzzFunds? | Ramblin Funds are tax-free funds that can be used for Georgia Tech Dining Services locations and expire at the end of the semester. BuzzFunds (insert explanation here). The All Access 400 Meal Plan is only $240 more than the All Access Meal Plan but offers you $400 in tax-free Ramblin Funds, which in turn offers you the most value and flexibility. |
| When do the meal plan counts reset for Limited Access 14 and Limited Access 10 Meal Plans? | Meal plan counts for the Limited Access 14 and Limited Access 10 plans are reset every Friday at midnight. The meal plan week is Friday through Thursday. |
| Where can I use my All Access Meal Plans? | You can use the Social Access 75, Limited Access 10, Limited Access 14, All Access, and All Access 400 meal plans at Brittain Dining Hall, Woodruff Dining Hall and North Ave Dining Hall. In addition, you can use your All Access 400 "Ramblin Funds" at all other Georgia Tech Dining Locations.

| Where can I use the Yellow Jacket 21 or Yellow Jacket 10 Meal Plan? |
The Yellow Jacket athletic meal plans can be used at any Georgia Tech Dining Hall on campus. The Yellow Jacket plan also allows the student to dine at Edge Athletic Dining Hall. |
| Why do the Limited Access 14 and Limited Access 10 Meal Plans contain meal plan period restrictions? |
The Limited Access 14 and Limited Access 10 Meal Plans provide all the participants with a single dining hall entrance during each meal plan period. Four meal plan periods exist per day, Monday through Friday, and three meal plan periods on Saturday & Sunday. The pricing for the Classic 14 and Basic 10 plans are based upon a single entrance per meal plan service period. If you would like to avoid all meal plan restrictions, choose either the All Access 400 Plan or All Access Plan, which offers all participants daily, unlimited access to the dining halls. |
